Trustee of the Year 

1st Place Trustee, Nigel Lloyd won the Trustee of the Year award presented by Community Southwark, for his contributions to 1st Place Children and Family Centre. Nicki, 1st Place Director nominated Nigel and attended the event which was held at Tate Modern. 

Nigel said “It's been a privilege to support 1st Place Children and Parents Centre for the past seven years” and he was “Truly honoured to receive the 'Trustee of the Year" 
“Many thanks to Community Southwark for the nomination and award, and to Nicola Howard and the whole team at 1st Place who do so much every day to give children the best start in life - they're the ones who truly deserve an award.” 

Amongst many other things Nigel has been heavily involved with the essential work to help move forward with equity, diversity, and inclusion within 1st Place the past couple of years. 

A well-deserved acknowledgement for Nigel, thank you for all your hard work. 

 

What is a trustee? 

Trustees play a vital role in our communities, volunteering their time and working together to keep the voluntary and community sector alive.   

Trustees are volunteers and they give their time to provide the governance of charities, their work is essential. 

Thank you to all our Trustees, who work so hard to ensure the work of 1st Place provides much needed support to our community.
