Polio, here you will find information and links to .gov information about polio, MMR and other vaccinations, and how to find out if your child’s vaccinations are up to date.


Sickness Policy

We follow the guidance from Public Health England and the NHS. Check the NHS website for guidance, The NHS website has guidance on when to keep your child at home, home treatment and when to seek medical advice. Find out more here: Is my child too unwell for school or nursery?

If your child has had vomiting and diarrhoea they should not return to nursery or school for at least 48 hours since the last time they experienced vomiting or diarrhoea.

You should also keep your child home if they have the following illnesses or symptoms: High Temperature, Chicken Pox, Impetigo, Scarlet fever.

What’s On

Summer Holidays Timetable

Running from 25 July - 31 August 2024.

1st Place Family Hub will be running play sessions over the summer holidays. Some of our regular groups will be running through the holidays including Fathers Stay & Play, SENsational, Babytime and Healthy Movers. In addition there will be building sandcastles on Bananas on The Beach, park outings, picnics and more!

Bananas on The Beach

Bananas on The Beach is open to the local community10 am – 4pm on weekdays. Located in the heart of Burgess Park at 1st Place Family Hub (Chumleigh Gardens Nursery) we have an exciting and secure play area where children can explore sand play in the shade of banana palms!
